Hlaupið er í kringum Laugarvatn yfir ár, mýrar og móa með frjálsri aðferð. Vegalengdin er ca. 8,5 km. Björgunarsveitin Ingunn í Bláskógabyggð er umsjónaraðili hlaupsins. Allur ágóði af hlaupinu rennur til kaupa á straumvatnsbjörgunarbúnaði.
