Description:

The Þorvaldsdalsskokkið is the oldest wilderness run in Iceland. The race runs along the length of Þorvaldsdalur valley, starting in Hörgárdalur in the south and ending at Stærri-Árskóg on Árskógsströnd. The race is held annually on the first Saturday in July and is about 25 km long.
